Chronic Neck and Back Pain

I  first started at Joshua Spine and Health Center for lower back, neck  and shoulder pain that became a chronic problem that I suffered with for  over ten years. My back and neck problems made it very hard to work  without pain on a daily basis. I had to resort to taking pain relievers  everyday in order to work but I knew that taking medications wasn't  fixing anything. After trying a few other options a friend and co-worker  told me to try Chiropractic. After being under the care of Dr. Joe I  now have very little to no pain and no longer have to use pain  management or pain medications every single day.

Coming  to Joshua Spine and Health Center is always an enjoyable experience.  Dr. Joe and Jess are a breath of fresh air. Not only do I know I'm  physically better for seeing him but I am also leaving there knowing I  have made friends for life.

Whiplash and Headaches from an Auto Accident

In  1983, I was in a car accident that lead to chronic neck pain and  headaches over the years. Immediately after the accident I tried to get  help from my family doctor who couldn't do anything to help. Since the  accident I have tried several different things to cope with my pain and  headaches from muscle relaxers, physical therapy, to stretching  routines. Out of all the things I've tried Chiropractic has been the key  factor in helping me with my neck pain and headaches.

Since  moving back to Joshua, Texas I have been fortunate to find another  Gonstead Chiropractor to help continue my care. On my first visit to  Joshua Spine and Health Center, Dr. Joe performed a thorough examination  to help find and target the source of my problems. I could see the  compassion in his eyes and that he truly cared about my well-being and I  felt comfortable with him right away. His knowledge of the body and  skillful hands match his level of compassion for his patients. Dr. Joe  is a great asset to the Joshua Community.

Sports Injury

I  injured my lower back and right hip while pitching on an uneven field  during one of our select league softball games just before we made  Nationals. My parents took me to a local "Sports Chiropractor" but after  two weeks of treatment I was still having pain all of the time and it  was continuing to get worse with each time I pitched. Nothing seemed to  help the pain and it got worse and worse every time I ran or pitched. My  parents heard about Dr. Joe from Paula, the owner of Cryotherapy of  America and they took me to see him right away. Dr. Joe reviewed my  x-rays, examined my spine, pelvis, and how I walked. I felt better  immediately after my first adjustment and Dr. Joe recommended that I put  arch supports in my shoes after he noticed a problem with my feet. I  don't know what I would have done without Dr. Joe's help. He discovered  the cause of my injury and fixed it. I was even able to pitch in  Nationals!

Thank you Dr. Joe for fixing my back so I can do what I love!

Acute Lower Back Pain

One  morning I woke up with severe lower back pain that was shooting down  both of my legs. The pain was so severe that I couldn't drive nor walk  fully upright. Everything I did seemed to make my pain worse as I could  not sit or even lay down flat. I was stuck in a hunched over standing  position with no relief. I tried taking Advil to reduce the pain but I  knew I needed to see a Chiropractor. I got in the same day with Dr. Joe  at Joshua Spine and Health Center for an emergency visit. Relief came  shortly after my second adjustment and I was back doing all my normal  activities after about a week or so. I continued with my Corrective  Chiropractic Care and now my back feels better then it did before my  injury. My back feels the strongest it's been in years.

Truck Driver with Hip, Leg, and Knee Pain

For  over seven months I was suffering from constant hip, leg, and knee  pain. My pain made my job as a truck driver nearly impossible and  extremely difficult. At first the pain started after long periods of  driving but it became more regular and even started to make it difficult  for me to stand. I tried pain creams and moved onto pain medications  but nothing seemed to help. I was only covering up my symptoms for short  durations and was letting the cause of my problem get worse and worse.  My problem and pain was getting so bad that it started to effect my  sleep. It was clear that I was headed in the wrong direction so I  decided to schedule an appointment at Joshua Spine and Health Center to  see if Dr. Joe could help me. He did a thorough exam and took x-rays to  find out what was causing my pain. He found the problem and explained to  me what I needed to do to correct the problem. He adjusted me after  explaining the x-rays and his treatment plan to me and I noticed an  immediate reduction in pain. I continued my corrective care and followed  Dr. Joe's advice and now I am able to work pain free and sleep soundly  again. I'm am very happy now and continue to keep my pelvis and spine  aligned at Joshua Spine and Health Center with maintenance care becuase  of the stressful nature of my job and because I want to stay healthy.

Bent Over In Pain

For  six months or longer I had been dealing with constant lower back, left  knee, and neck pain. Working as a horse farrier my career is very  physically demanding in my body and I thought it was normal to have  aches and pains as a result. Finally, my body said enough is enough and  my lower back stopped me suddenly in my tracks! I ended up stuck in a  bent over position leaning to the left with severe pain running up my  back and into my opposite knee. I couldn't work and tried medications  with very little help. Dr. Joe adjusted my right hip and I could  immediately stand up better and my pain was gone. Every time I'm in for  an adjustment I feel better and better. The entire crew from the front  desk to the treatment has been wonderful to me! I now know it's not  normal to be in pain constantly.

Sciatica & Unable to Walk

For  seven long years I have suffered with sciatica into both hips three to  four nights per week that made it extremely troublesome to sleep. My  condition slowly progressed into severe pain into both of my feet more  recently over the past year or more. My problems progressed to the point  that I couldn't even walk more than a few steps before having severe  pain in the top of both feet. After only three adjustments I haven't had  any sciatic pain at night and I have been able to walk longer with less  pain. I am anxious and excited to see all the improvements that are  possible continuing my adjustments.
